7 Experiences Only Pug Owners Can Relate To

Pugs are one heck of a unique breed- but their cuteness is everyone's favorite quality.

For any proud pug owners out there, let's be real here: raising that little snorting bundle of joy is definitely a lot of fun, but is certainly more work than you'd think. Pugs are a unique breed that requires constant affection, attention, and, well, treats- to maintain their spunky personalities. Their little wrinkly bodies, curly tails, and human-esque, sassy attitudes make each day with them a wild adventure. Here are some experiences only pug owners can understand:

1. They are lickers.

Their little pink tongues are their biggest weaponry. A pug will lick a full bowl of food clean- and then thank you for feeding them by rewarding you with kisses. It is impossible to resist a smile when they lick your hand and look up at you with their big bug eyes.

2. The pug head tilt.

Pretty much all dogs do it, but only pugs look this cute in the process. All a pug owner has to say is "Do you wanna..." and their little pooch instantly reacts. They don't know whether it is a walk or a trip to the vet that is coming their way but either regardless, they are suddenly all ears.

3. Their blood instinct hatred for the bath,

despite their grubby selves, is sometimes too funny to be mad at. They are not always to keen about doing anything that include means moving away from the couch or food bowl, but a clean pup is a healthy pup!

4. And even though they may not necessarily enjoy bath time,

forcing them to wash up is so worth it because of how unbelievably adorable they look. The blow dry process almost beats the cuteness of the soapy suds.

5. Pugs are utterly OBSESSED with food.

I mean, can we really blame them? Their cute for being their chubby and wrinkly selves. Be it pizza crust, kibble, or even one single Cheerio, they will fight to till the end to get it. Their hard work is sometimes comical.

6. They always get themselves into trouble.

Pugs are notorious for being caught red handed in sticky situations. They give you that "I think I've made a mistake" look and you just can't help but wonder how the hell they got themselves there!

7. But the best experiences can be tied together with one word: snuggling.

Pugs are by far the best cuddle buddies- but this is no surprise, as they sleep 18 hours on average, every single day! UGH nap time professionals, am I right?

Only true pug owners can understand all of these daily encounters but still adore their little fur babies. I mean, how can you resist that face?! ;)

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
