The 7 Most Quotable Lines From 'Elf' For College Students In December
Warner Bros. Pictures

The holiday season has finally arrived, and that means it's time to start binge-watching every Christmas movie ever made. One holiday favorite is Will Ferrell's "Elf." Here are some of the most quotable lines from the movie.

"I'm a cotton-headed ninny-muggins"

When Will Ferrell calls himself this, all the fellow elves gasp in astonishment. This gives insight that these words are not very nice words in the Elf community. If you were to insult someone, this is the perfect phrase to use during the Christmas season.

"Bye Buddy! Hope you find your dad!"

Every time someone says, "Bye buddy!" to me, I respond with "Hope you find your dad!" It's like a reflex.

"I just like to smile. Smiling's my favorite."

I don't understand how elves are always so happy. I know a few people who could be elves because they are constantly happy.

"You sit on a throne of lies!"

This is my instant comeback when I think someone is lying to me all year round.

"Buddy the Elf! What's your favorite color?"

After I first watched this movie, I used this quote every time I answered the phone for the following three weeks.

"So, good news... I saw a dog today."

Every day is a good day when a dog is involved.

"I'm sorry I ruined your lives and crammed eleven cookies in the VCR."

During Christmas time, this is my apology for anything wrong I do.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
