I, like many, love to see a good dog after a long, hard day of work. I also love the idea of hats even though I almost never wear hats. I'm a bit of a dreamer, a bit of an innovator, so I decided to combine two of my favorite things in a single Google search. I am very proud of what I have found on the internet today. Behold, here are some of the best results that I found after searching "dogs wearing hats."

1. Viking Dog

I'm honestly so impressed by all of the people who are able to put hats on their dogs and get decent pictures out of the experience instead of having the dog immediately get very angry and start eating the hat.

2. Cowboy Dog

Like this dog looks so happy, so content. Does he even know he's wearing a hat? Does he know how good he looks in the hat?

3. Beanie Dog

Okay, so I'm convinced this dog is still half asleep, possibly medicated, and just doesn't really care that she's wearing a hat.

4. Sk8er Dog

Look at him! He's just having such a good time! Probably mid-walk and just taking a short rest. I'll say it again: I am the most impressed that he is letting that hat anywhere near his head. So impressed that the hat isn't in his mouth.

5. Royal Dog

Honestly? I can't tell if this one is photoshop or not, but if it's not I'll be so happy.

6. "Halloweentown" Fan Dog

This is the most realistic dog wearing a hat, I think. Like you can see that slight snarl, that fear in the eyes, a subtle plea for the hat to be removed. I'm sorry that this happened to you, dog. You look very festive, though, if that means anything to you.

7. Lana Del Rey Dog

Again, we have here a dog that looks vaguely terrified of her own hat. She's got that summertime sadness for sure.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
