Dead week means a wrap on work and review of all material in your classes. It also means your last week of the year to hang out with your friends and spend time in your college town. This means you should make the most of dead week and take a break from studying to enjoy your last week before summer hits and your friends go back home.
1. Spend time with friends
Even if this means getting a study group together or hanging at the coffee place studying together, do it. You may not see them for a couple months during summer break, so get as much time in with them as you can before you both go back home.2. Go to all your favorite restaurants.
Even if this means pigging out, go
to all your favorite spots to get your fix for the summer. You won’t get to eat
it again until the fall, so load it up, you can work it off later.
3. Enjoy your campus.
If your campus is scenic and
beautiful, get out there and soak it in. Especially in the spring when
everything is green and flowers have bloomed. You can even study outside if you’re
too worried about finals not to study.
4. Stay in.
Take in your dorm room or apartment
for the last time. Remember what it feels like to live there, the awesome memories
you’ve had, the cramped memories you’ve had, and the times where you just
wanted to move out. It will be one of the last few times you will sleep there.
5. Hang out with your roommate.
If you don’t live close to your
roommate during the summer, you are going to want to get in the last moments of
roommate bonding before you’re separated for a whole summer.
6. Pack.
If you don’t start packing now, you
will be that much more stressed when you have to pack up everything finals
week. You don’t have to pack up your whole room, but getting a head start will
make you feel better and less stressed come finals week.
7. Relax.
Do everything you can to relax between studying. It
will make you less stressed when you are studying. Take a little bit to nap,
watch Netflix, or read every day to prevent total meltdowns during periods of
studying.
