It’s Christmas season and the whole state knows it. Time for hot chocolate, peppermint everything, lots of love, and being surrounded by loved ones. So gear up, take your partner, best friend, family member, acquaintance, or a random person you meet on the street (hey, I’m not judging), and go do these awesome things to get in the Christmas spirit!
1. Ice Skating

2. Rhema Christmas Lights
This is by far one of the best Christmas light shows ever. The Rhema Bible Church in Broken Arrow, OK, puts up almost 2 million lights each year and thousands of visitors pour in to see the display.
3. Walk the Holiday Pop-Up Shops
Each year, over 40 little holiday shops set up camp in Midtown OKC, along with a tree lot. Come by and browse through all of these and maybe get a tree while you’re at it!
4. Ride the Polar Express
This year in Stillwater, OK, the Polar Express train is here for the holidays. Hop on for a 1-hour journey and recreate the events of the Polar Express.
5. Watch a showing of the Nutcracker
In Oklahoma City and Tulsa, ballet's put on a showing of the Nutcracker and it is absolutely magical.
6. Snow Tubing in Bricktown
In Bricktown Ballpark, snow tubing hills are created for those of all ages. Open Saturdays in December, it’s such a fun holiday tradition to partake in.
7. Take Part in the Territorial Christmas Celebration
Ever wondered what Christmas was like when Oklahoma was a territory? Well, look no further that Guthrie’s Territorial Christmas Celebration! There is a parade, historic homes tours, Victorian evening walks, and lots of fun to be had at this wonderful celebration.
Now, I know that there are SO many other holiday things to do in the state, so go out and do at least one of them! I’m sure everyone loves the Christmas season and the happiness it brings to all.
