Now that Thanksgiving is over, it's time to get into the Christmas spirit! One of the best ways to do that is by watching Christmas movies. I've compiled a list of the seven best Christmas movies that you should watch this holiday season!

1. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a classic Christmas movie. Whoville is the cutest town and with all the Whos getting ready for Christmas it always puts me in the holiday spirit. Cindy Lou's song "Where Are You Christmas?" always makes me feel all the feels. It's the sweetest moment when she makes the Grinch realize he has a heart after all.

2. Home Alone

The Home Alone series is always bound to put you in the Christmas spirit. Poor Kevin is accidentally left alone when his family goes on vacation, but it turns into an adventure for him. He is able to protect his home from burglars and help his neighbor reconnect with his family. In the end, Kevin is reunited with his family on Christmas and everyone is happy.

3. It's A Wonderful Life

This black and white film is sure to put you in the Christmas spirit. Seeing George Bailey go through his struggles on Christmas Eve shows that everyone has hard times, but the good times make life worth living. Christmas is all about family and seeing people come together, just like the town did for George when he was in need.

4. Eloise At Christmastime

Eloise At Christmastime was always my favorite Christmas movie to watch as a kid. I love watching Eloise confidently live her life in the Plaza Hotel. She is able to push people's buttons, while still being the adorable six year old she is. She saves Christmas Eve by getting the right people together and by spreading Christmas joy to everyone at the Plaza.

5. Love Actually

Love Actually is the best Christmas rom-com. The movie focuses on many different story lines, but all include different aspects of love. All of the characters go through different struggles and work through them leading up to Christmas. It doesn't end with perfect endings for all of them, but they continue on with love as the main theme.

6. The Polar Express

The Polar Express is a perfect movie to put you in the Christmas spirit! If you want to drink some hot cocoa, snuggle under a blanket, and watch a Christmas movie, The Polar Express should be your go to. The boy in the film goes from not believing in Santa to truly believing in him, even if he can't always see him. The conductor, the girl, and Santa show him what Christmas magic is all about.

7. Elf

Elf is hands down the funniest and best Christmas movie. No one can stop themselves from laughing every five seconds during Elf. Buddy captures true Christmas spirit and joy! Seeing him go from feeling like an outcast in the North Pole to knowing he belonged there is the perfect Christmas transformation.

There's my list of the best Christmas movies! I hope these seven movies can help put you in the holiday spirit as you get ready for Christmas!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
