As an outdoor, summertime lifeguard, you most likely notice that every day of work, you will find yourself repeating the same things over and over and over again. Don't get me wrong, we love our jobs because of the cute kids, the (sometimes) good tans, the friends/co-workers, the cool managers, the networking connections, the hookup for babysitting jobs, the (sometimes) free food, the inside jokes and the memories. With all that aside though, some things that can happen, just like at any job, that have you repeating yourself throughout your whole shift. Whether you're talking to members, other employees, children, parents, swim coaches, or anyone, you're saying the same thing, every single day. Here is a little look into a typical lifeguard's list of things they say while on the job.
