60 Thoughts Every College Student Has The First Week Back From Break

When you're home for the holidays, going back to school seems like the best thing ever. Living with your best friends, going out all the time, what could be better? However, in truth, the adjustment from winter break to winter quarter is the hardest thing you will ever experience in your college career, and you'll wish for nothing more than to be back at home!

1. Okay: new quarter, new me.



2. I'm going to be super productive.

3. Starting tomorrow.

4. Or the next day.

5. Or the day after that.

6. *Snoozes till 11:30 a.m.*

7. I really need to do the laundry I brought from break at some point.

8. Sh** my class is in ten minutes.


9. It's in Creuss Hall.

10. Is Creuss Hall even a thing?

11. Maybe it doesn't exist...it probably doesn't.

12. Do I even want to take this class?


13. I'm dropping it, not worth the struggle.

14. Oooh, what's for late night?

15. A nacho bar?! So sick I'm down.

16. Wait but I was gonna start going to the gym

17. Well, what's the harm in starting tomorrow?

18. Or the next day?

19. Or the day after that...

20. Wow, what time is it?

21. Lol at my bio quiz tomorrow.

22. I should start studying, tbh.

23. But the party at water polo tonight though...

24. Wait, why do I even want to go out?

25. Why would I EVER want to go out winter quarter when there's a freaking monsoon outside?


26. And that bio quiz is probably really important.

27. Why is it raining?

28. Why is my bike muddy??

29. Why is El Niño even a thing???

30. I'm hungry.

31. I have no money.


32. Why can't the DC just make normal food?

33. No one wants to eat whatever pasta romantic is!

34. Or some exotic Thai dish!

35. Just give me a burrito bar and we're good.

36. I hate my life.


37. I want to go home and watch "One Tree Hill."

38. I really hate this.

39. Ew at my bio quiz tomorrow.

40. Why is there no welcome week for winter quarter?

41. Why does coffee cost money?

42. Holy sh**! I missed The Bachelor last night!


43. I wish I had cable.

44. Thank god I'll have cable next year at my apartment!

45. I need to start looking for an apartment...

46. Who am I going to live with??

47. I need to bring my car up ASAP.

48. Wow, I really need to work out.

49. But with what spare time?

50. WHY DO I EVEN HAVE A BIO QUIZ MY FIRST WEEK BACK?!
