Some of us tend to get nervous before boarding that metal bird whether it is for holidays or vacations. Here are 6 tips that will help you ease your anxiety.

Do your research

Sometimes it's better to face the truth and look up the facts ourselves. Researching facts about airplanes and safety may help you ease your nerves.

Remind yourself you're not the only one traveling

When you're at the airport, take a look around you and see how many people are getting on a plane. You're not the only one traveling and hundred percent likely not the only one nervous about it!

Dramamine is your best friend

Dramamine helps with not only feelings of anxiety but also with motion sickness. Make sure to take one before you board!

Talk about your anxiety

Whether it's your parents or best friend, be open and honest about how you feel. If they have no advice to give you, I'm sure just letting yourself be open helps ease your nerves.

Talk to a flight attendant

Flight attendants are not just trained to give directions on how to use an oxygen mask or buckle a seatbelt, but they're also there to comfort you!

Enjoy the flight!

Sometimes it's best to look at the positive side of things. Tell yourself that wherever you're going, people have gone and an awesome journey awaits you!

Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
