  1. “Happy Holidays ma’am!” “YOU MEAN MERRY CHRISTMAS!”

Unless you’re wearing reindeer antlers and an ugly Christmas sweater, I will say Happy Holidays.

2. People telling you that you ruined their holiday because you’re out of the item that they needed.

Wow, I didn’t realize I had this much power; I must have ruined a lot of holidays!

3. Coming home exhausted.

The holiday season means double the work in the same amount of time. It’s not easy!

4. Customers lamenting “Oh, I’m so sorry you have to work the holidays, it must be terrible!”

Lots of people work the holidays! It’s not the end of the world, and we make money. However, we do wish we could be at home with our families.

5. Relatives not understanding why you can’t request off work for every Christmas party.

As much as I would love to come, a business needs people to run!

6. Commiserating with coworkers.

It might be a stressful time of year, but with teamwork everything will work out!
