There are a lot of things I say I can't live without but if I was stranded on an island, the 6 things I made sure I had with me would be these things...

1. My water bottle

I know that sounds really cliche but if you see me, I always have some sort of water bottle with me. whether it is my Tervis, Yeti rambler, or Nalgene water bottle. I ALWAYS have one with me.

2. My tennis shoes

I love dressing up every once in a while, but more times than not, you will see me in the gym working out... which leads me to my next thing...

3. My gym membership

As much as I love going to the gym at school (for free) I prefer to go to the YMCA. It is literally my first thought of the day. I LOVE working out. whether it is the elliptical, biking, yoga classes, weights, or all of the above in one day, I love going to the gym.

4. My apple watch

I only use the apple watch for the activity app and to tell time but I love it when I get a notification and don't have to look at my phone (I also have a bad habit of losing my phone).

5. My blankets

I LOVE blankets and when it is cold I love them even more. I use them to cover up at my boyfriend's lacrosse games when it is super cold, I cover up with them when I am watching TV and I use about 10 when I am sleeping because I love them so much.

6. My Boyfriend

This item is last but certainly not least. My boyfriend is my rock and the light of my life! I just needed to find a way to talk about him. (I'm sorry if it is super cheesy) and yes, this is a throwback from my senior prom.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
