In the age where your phone is basically your right hand, our communication with those around us changes every day. It started with phone calls and instant messaging, and has since then become text messages and a “picture message thing” (as the old people would call it).
Snapchat, the world's most popular app among millennials and generation Z kids, has become a staple in most phones. It’s the new and improved way to communicate.
Snapchat is more than just constant selfies. It is a new and fun way of communication; not every picture has to be pretty and perfect, you can make yourself look 100 years old, or have a rainbow flow out of your mouth. Snapchat is a great way for people to express themselves and have fun animated conversations.
1. Showing emotions
Unlike with text messages, Snapchat allows you to add that extra emotion with a picture to make sure there’s no confusion for how you’re feeling.
2. Live Snap Stories
It’s really cool how we can see what is going on throughout the world on Snapchat. We can see what people in Australia and L.A. are up to one day, and Italy and Barcelona the next. Snapchat keeps users up to date on things that are happening around the world, whether it is the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show or TGIF, you get a glimpse of people’s lives around the world.

The idea of Snapchat is just genius. It allows all of our goofiest faces and dumbest things to be seen by who we want to see them and then poof! Gone forever.

4. Discover
For those of you who don’t check out the Discover section of Snapchat, you definitely should. With companies and websites like Cosmopolitan, ESPN, BuzzFeed, and Comedy Central, you’re bound to find something interesting or funny to send to your friends.
5. Follow almost anyone
For a while, Snapchat was really only for you and your friends but now has become so much bigger than that. You can follow your favorite celebrities, musicians, teams, shows, or celebrities like MTV, Jimmy Fallon, Selena Gomez, Rihanna, the NE Patriots and NY Jets. It’s a fun way to get a look into the lives of your favorite celebrities and behind the scenes of the best teams and shows.
6. New day, new snaps
Since everything about Snapchat is on a time limit, it’s never the same boring thing. Every day brings a whole new set of live snap stories, new discover segments, and new stories from your friends.
