We all love to find new songs to go crazy over, right? For me, finding a new song is like opening a present, you never know what you're going to get! I love music, it is a huge part of me and I often use songs to help me say what I feel. I hope you enjoy the list of some great, hardly known songs. Sorry if I saw they're all my favorite, I just have a hard time choosing an absolute favorite.

1. "California Daze" by Peace

This laid back chill vibed song is the perfect song for summer time. It's one of those songs that you don't really have to listen to, you just turn it on and you're relaxed. Even when it isn't summer time, put this song on and bam! You just brought summer right to wherever you are.

2. "Hold My Tongue" by Sheppard

Now, you may know this band from their song Geronimo. But I'm certain not many of you know this song by them. Why's that? Well this song is not currently available for download in the US, but with some digging on YouTube I found it and must say, it really gets you excited. This is one of my favorite songs.

3. "Numbers" by Andy Grammer

I'm positive you all know Andy Grammer, how could you not of heard a few of his songs? This song really puts into perspective how we view ourselves and others. All we want is to look better because none of us see ourselves the way we should. We all have things we want to change about ourselves. Basically what he's saying in this is that it doesn't really matter how you look because there are all kinds of people out there.

4. "Forever Like That" by Ben Rector

This is another one of my favorite songs. This describes how a relationship should be and how you should feel when you're in one. I shared this song with my girlfriend a few days ago because it can almost speak what you can't exactly say for yourself.

5. "Miss America" by Carolina Liar

This song is deeper than it might initially sound. At first it just sounds like a slow pop song. But, if you actually listen to the lyrics, it's about people who get everything they want in the world while everyone else has to sit back and actually try for what they want. Even without the meaning, it's a great song.

6. "Vagabond" by MisterWives

I first heard this on the show "Finding Carter". To start, great show if you haven't seen it! But, back to the song, this somehow makes me remember past memories. I'm not really sure how or why this song causes that, but for some reason it does. It just has that type of vibe and feel to it that makes me think that way. Not going into the meaning of this song, but this song is just great and you should all listen to it! I highly recommend it!

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
