1. You wake up in the morning thinking of all the reasons to get out of bed instead of all the reasons to stay in bed.

2. You dress to impress.

When you look good, you feel more confident, and that self-confidence ultimately drives you forward.

3. You keep up with the news.

Regardless of your career path, being an informed citizen puts you at an advantage. Staying up-to-date with current events allows you to formulate an educated opinion.

4. You can write well.

The ability to write well means the ability to express yourself, defend your opinions, and advocate your beliefs. Oftentimes, the way you say something can be more powerful than what you’re saying. Again, regardless of career path, writing articulately and effectively is an absolute necessity.

5. You make eye contact with everyone you talk to.

Eye contact shows people that you are devoting 100% of your time and attention to them. It shows respect, empathy, and confidence. It allows you to make a connection with someone else. Successful people make time to listen to people and their ideas, and this begins fundamentally with eye contact.

6. You go to bed proud of today's achievements and excited for tomorrow's.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
