Even though she makes you do things your Mother wouldn't be proud of, she is a one of a kind friend. She will be the person you will tell your future husband, and children about. No matter what happens between the two of you, she is your sister from another mister. That is a forever friendship that cannot be broken by rough patches, time, or even distance. You both make each other act crazy, but those are the memories you will cherish for a life time. So this goes out to my partner in crime, I wouldn't have anyone else by my side.
You both know that you have work/school early the next day, but she convinces you to go out anyways. I mean, she only said 1 hour, right? WRONG! 1 hour turns into 5 hours, now its 3am, you've taken too many shots of fireball, left many slurred voicemails to your ex, and your best friend walked into a pole. Usually, the next day you wake up wallowing in self loathing, and you only have 1 sock on. You don't mind because the night was completely worth it, and hilarious! Plus, now you have a blackmail video of her petting an old man's white hair, saying " You're a pretty kitty."
2. She pushes you out of your comfort zone.
Your best friend pushing you out of your comfort zone can be really scary, but she means well. She might get you to wear that sexy skirt & heels, or go to that fraternity party, or dye your hair a weird color. Your best friend would never let anything bad happen to you, so let loose every once in a while. It is good to get out of your comfort zone, because that is when amazing things start to happen! Once my best friend literally pushed me into my crush so I would be forced to talk to him. I was so uncomfortble, and mad she did that, but it ended up in me finally speaking to him! It is always good to have a friend that helps you experience new things, that you wouldn't do normally. You never know what can happen, but you can bet she will be by your side!
3.She encourages you to break your diet sometimes.
No matter how long you have been faithful to your strict diet, when you go to her house; forget about it. You already know she has the best food in her fridge, and you cannot resist the temptation. Even though spring break is right around the corner, she tells you to eat that extra taco. That conversation you had in the mirror with yourself about being strong before you came, went right out the window. Later you will work a little harder in the gym, but for now you will stuff your face with her. Let's be honest, you ate that taco, and it tasted Ah-Mazinggg!
4.She gives you evil ideas about what to do to you ex, to make him suffer.
Whenever your best friend sees you hurting, her first instinct is to cheer you up. If you have a best friend like mine, she will suggest the two of you burn, stab, or humiliate the guy that hurt you. It is hilarious to hear her genius plan of slowly torturing him, even though you know she is joking(hopefully). She loves you so much, so she will say anything to cheer you up; even if it makes you question her sanity.
5. She brings the weirdness out of you.
There is no better person to bring your weirdness out, and it doesn't matter what the two of you are doing. Whether it be twerking in her living room, spastically dancing in the car, or screaming the lyrics to Glamorous by Fergie. She's the one that appreciates your inner weirdo, and make sure tons of strangers see. People may look into your car wondering if you are having a seizure or not, but who cares? The best memories I have, are with my best friend jamming out in my car. Other people may think its crazy the way you act around her, but you need at least one person to act a fool with!
6. She takes you on crazy adventures.
No matter what my best friend asks me to do i'm down for any adventure! I don't know what it is about her, but i seem to loose all sense of my self control when i'm with her. If she asked me to go steal the neighborhood cat, I wouldn't ask any questions; i'd just go! I'm sure that's not the best thing to do, but I still laugh about some of the crazy adventures I ended up on. Sometimes it involves the cops pulling you over, angry parents asking why you snuck out, or going to get nachos from the gas station at 2am. The times you get into trouble with your partner in crime are awesome, and when you get older you'll remember them. Your best friend will always have your back, even if she's in the jail cell with you!
