Fall creates more problems than solutions.

6 Reasons Why I Hate Fall
Grandfather Mountain

Everyone that I know is super excited that fall is here! Everyone except me, that is. Of all the seasons, fall is by far my least favorite. And here are six reasons why I am not a fan of fall:

1. Fall = sicknesses

For me, I know fall is coming when my throat gets all scratchy and I start sneezing. Every fall, without fail, I get some sort of illness. Whether it be your simple allergy attack, common cold or an upper respiratory infection, I will catch something. So, sorry if I'm not a fan but I don't really enjoy being sick.

2. Attack Of The Orange

I'm not sure who sat down and decided that orange was going to be the official color of fall but I need to have a serious conversation with them. I am not, nor have I ever been, a fan of the color orange. For some reason, I associate it with vomit but I honestly feel nauseous whenever fall comes because everything has to be orange. I literally can't even deal!

3. What do I wear?

I literally don't understand fall from the simple perspective that I simply don't know what to wear during the fall? My summer clothes aren't warm enough but my winter clothes will be too much for fall. And then my spring clothes are too "bright" for the fall. So when I tell you I don't understand fall, I literally don't. What is this foreign concept?

4. Fall doesn't really exist in South Carolina.

Honestly, in South Carolina, what most people consider fall doesn't really happen here. There's no gradual weather change here. It's hot and then it just gets cold. That's how it happens. There is no in between there is no easing into it. Here, honestly it goes from summer to winter so I've never understood why everyone would get so excited about fall?

5. I can't go outside.

Because I can never figure out what the weather is going to do or what to wear in the fall, I tend to just stay inside and do nothing. But that's not healthy. Being immobile makes me gain weight and that's not what I want. But I can't go outside plus I don't want to, so...

6. Discontinuation Of My Favorite Flavors

There are certain products, especially frozen beverages, that are only available in the summer and when falls comes, I can't have them. I don't like when companies decided when I can have things. I think that that's cruel. I wish fall wouldn't come sometimes just so I could keep drinking my frozen strawberry lemonades.

So while all of you are having Halloween parties and celebrating the new season with an array of pumpkin spice flavored beverages, I'm gonna be sitting inside gaining weight and hiding from all the orange-colored things.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
