6 Reasons Why 'Gossip Girl' Is Still Relevant

"Gossip Girl" was a show from our youth that we'll never forget. From 2007-2012 GG gave us life; the show was so hot and entertaining, there was truly never a dull episode. All the die hard "Gossip Girl" fans wept when Blair and Chuck finally got married and we were also in complete shock when we found out Dan was Gossip Girl the WHOLE time. Although "Gossip Girl" may not be on anymore it's still a fan favorite on Netflix and completely relevant. So, if you're a fangirl like me, this is the perfect read to take you down memory lane.

1. Chuck Freaking Bass

Ladies, let's be real... Chuck Bass was literally the highlight of the show for ALL six seasons. Chuck was the bad boy who was known for scheming and trouble, but deep down had the biggest heart of them all. Just thinking about him and his love for Blair makes me want to cry and eat chocolate. Also, his wardrobe was always on point, I mean maybe not so much in the beginning of the show, but boy did he turn it around. Chuck Bass will always hold a special place in my heart, he's won the hearts of so many young girls and will truly never be forgotten.

2. Being envious of Serena's wardrobe

Serena had the best clothes out of all the characters and literally rocked whatever she wore. I mean we can't all look like Blake Lively (although I wish), but her style was always fierce and bold. I wish I could pick up her closet in Manhattan and put it in my room, all those shoes and purses... If only! She was a stunning blonde with amazing taste, why wouldn't you be envious of her?

3. Still hating Jenny Humphrey

Jenny was a character that no one will ever forget if you watched the show religiously. She was constantly arguing or fighting with another character, and honestly it got old. Her piss poor attitude was never pleasant and overall she needed a reality check/grip on her life. I'm happy she left when she did because she was WAY too dramatic for me. Oh little J, no one liked you anyways.

4. Wishing Nate Archibald was a real person

If Nate Archibald wasn't your first real crush as a pre-teen then you're only fooling yourself. Nate was the sweet, athletic and HOT charterer who we all loved and wished every guy was like. When he got older he was known for his honesty and respect, and also his amazing looks. I seriously wish Nate was real because he's just amazing and I loved his character like no other.

5. Still wishing I was as pretty as Blair:

Blair was known for her scheming and psycho girlfriend behavior, but looking past all that she was a beautiful character. She was absolutely stunning in her Prom dress for senior year AND looked even more beautiful in her wedding dress (the blue of course). She may have looked ridiculous with those headbands and plaid skirts, but that's what made her different! She wasn't afraid to be her true self, she always rocked her style. Hence, why she opened a store in NYC and all of the girls at Constance LOVED it. Long live Queen B and her unique style.

6. Forever wanting a Dorota in my life

"Oh Dororta, bring me my macaroons!", "Yes, Miss. Blair, right away!" Who wouldn't want a woman who is devoted to helping you and doing just about everything for you? Dorota's character was so sweet and innocent, she was so easy to fall in love with. I wish I could have my own personal Dorota to help me shop and me buy me macaroons, if only, though.

"Gossip Girl" is a show that will live on forever, all the characters throughout the show are unique in their own way. I wish the show was still on the air, but sadly it isn't... although it's on Netflix which is great! So, thank you Netflix for giving me the luxury of watching Chuck Bass in bed for hours. I hope this article reminded you why GG is the best show EVER and why it is in fact still relevant.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
