We love the whole month of December, baby.

So the time is here already. It's amazing how quickly the year speeds up once summer ends and school begins. It may have taken me forever, but I think I'm finally in the holiday spirit. It's already Christmas (December) the 5th and we've got 20 days to go until Santa comes to town, so here's the top 6 reasons we LOVE the holidays (which is really just every day after Thanksgiving until December 26th).

1. All that food.

And I totally mean that. It's like Thanksgiving daily but with the cookies you baked and those gingerbread houses. It's too cold to go outside so you're essentially stuck inside left to eat anything that won't eat you first. And let's talk about Christmas dinner, need I say more?

2. The time off.

Don't you just love how you get so much time away from school? You get a good month off to enjoy life again. Not to mention for those of us who work, you really have a good week off around Christmas time and who doesn't love a lazy day, or 3?

3. Seeing the family.

Okay, so we may complain about them, but let's be honest, we love our family. There are so many family gatherings around this time of year, and sitting around inhaling food with them is something everyone enjoys, even if it's just you and your closest cousin partying it up at a family event.

4. Gifts all day, every day.

I'm not just talking about getting them either. It's a satisfying feeling to sit back and watch someone open up that gift you got them you know they were dying for a month or two ago. But hey, receiving things is pretty nice too.

5. Snow days.

Nothing beats when it snows. Everyone is rushing around all day trying to play in it as much as possible before it melts; it's a total excitement. As a kid, waking up to school being canceled because of snow was literally as good as Christmas gift and that doesn't really change as you grow up.

6. Ugly Christmas sweaters.

I don't really understand why ugly Christmas sweaters are a thing, but let me tell you, I am so glad they are. We live to see who can find the wittiest or "ugly" sweater all December long. Ugly Christmas sweaters are a must all month long, and we can't get enough of them.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
