6 Reasons Thomas Rhett And His Wife Lauren Deserve All The Hype

When Thomas Rhett met his wife Lauren Akins in high school, neither had any idea that they would end up together. Though they briefly dated in their younger years, it didn’t work out and they decided to stay best friends instead. Fast forward to being 22 and fresh out of college, however, the two said “I Do,” and have given us plenty adorable, everyday moments to obsess over. Here are just 6 of the reasons that Thomas Rhett and his wife totally deserve your Instagram-stalking time.

1. They've withstood the tests of time

Everyone loves a good high school sweetheart story, and Thomas and Lauren are no different. They are constantly posting pictures throwing it back to the days when they were just a few awkward kids growing up together while also fighting the feelings they had for each other. Fast forward to today, and it’s as if nothing has changed: sure, Thomas Rhett may tour the world performing, win a bunch of awards, and he even grew a couple inches, but the love he and Lauren have for each other has remained constant (and completely adorable).

2. They celebrate each other

I know I’m not the only one who’s jaw dropped when both Thomas and Lauren posted the picture above when Thomas won a Single of the Year ACM last week for his song “Die a Happy Man.” While it was completely deserved (who doesn’t sing that song loudly in the car/wish you were the one in the music video), it made it all the sweeter to see how excited Lauren was for Thomas, and how happy she was to celebrate him in such a public way.

3. They make the little moments big

The couple doesn’t only celebrate on huge nights like the ACM awards, however, Anyone who follows the duo on Snapchat or Instagram knows that they are always quick to post about how much they are enjoying date nights or just normal days around the house. Whether it’s margaritas at Bartaco, teaching their dog new tricks or throwing a get together for friends, the two have the same big smiles on their faces and are happy to celebrate the beauty of everyday moments.

4. They don't take themselves too seriously

Thomas and Lauren seem like the two biggest goofballs. As soon as either of them has a new Snapchat story, I immediately text my friends and have them watch, too, because it’s always going to be them laughing at themselves. And even though Thomas Rhett has become a pretty big name in country music, they haven’t succumb to the fame in anyway, choosing instead to share images of their lazy nights in and not all glitzed up (which even then Lauren still looks perfect).

5. They share their love with others

Every few months, my couple crush will share a picture of them on a mission trip loving on some deserving kids and attending an event to benefit an organization that they are passionate about. When you love someone as much as these two seem to love each other, one of the best things you can do is turn that love into something bigger than yourself, and these two do so flawlessly.

6. They're just two best friends in love

Honestly, they’re relationship goals. There is not a better way to put it. They’ve seen each other through the awkward growing-up stages, they support each other, they laugh all the time, and they love a whole lot. Anytime I see their posts on social media, I just think about how I want to be their best friend, because watching the love they have for each other and the way they champion each other every day makes me happy.

So cheers to you, Thomas and Lauren. Even if you don’t build a mansion in Georgia, you’re definitely doing this whole relationship thing right.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
