Senior year. The year of so many responsibilities and rights of passages that one can not pass up. There's senior prom, college decisions, graduation and finally senior week. Now, senior week is a wonderful and joyous time where recent graduates can spend a week after graduation to have fun and just get away from all the stress that has been nagging at them since January.

Every school has their own variation of senior week, but for a lot of schools, the beach is where it is spent. Now if you are not a senior, please don't go. Your time will come soon enough. However, if you have already graduated, don't go again. You had your chance, and honestly, it's just weird. For those of you who are actually recent graduates here are the top six reasons you should go to senior week.

1. No Parents

Senior week is a parent-free zone where you can be as stupid as possible with your friends.

2. Last Chance for Adventure

After you graduate, college is right around the corner, and for some, work is just calling your name. Senior week is the last chance to be a little dangerous and do stuff you normally wouldn't do. Whether that's partying on the beach with your friends or meeting strangers on the boardwalk, senior week is a week of endless possibilities.

3. Sweet Romance

For you ladies out there, senior week is full of hot guys with their shirts off throwing Frisbee on the beach. For the guys, well there are girls in bikinis lying on the beach hoping you will approach them. Now I had my own little summer romance from a guy I met at senior week, and the trip was definitely worth meeting this guy. Just take a chance, who knows what will happen.

4. Memories to Last a Lifetime

I have some amazing memories from my week spent at the beach after graduation. Now there were some bad ones as well, but who doesn't have those? Take a camera with you and capture every memory possible. You're going to want to remember everything.

5. Believe it or Not, it's Pretty Safe

Now I know what you're thinking, how can you be wild and crazy but remain safe? Well that's easy. The cops in the area know that it is senior week and while they do their job, they also allow the kids to have fun. As long as you're not going around vandalizing everything you touch, you should be good. Plus the cops are there just in case you find yourself in a situation you can't get out of.

6. So Many Things to do

Where you live now there probably isn't a whole lot that you can do, or if there is you probably have done it all three times over. Well at the beach at senior week you will find something new to do every night. There is laser tag, the beach itself, mini golf, just endless possibilities.

Have fun this senior week but remember, be safe!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
