I think that there's been a misunderstanding between the Baby Boomer Generation/ Generation X and Milennials. We are the better generation. Even though we're constantly being called lazy and we're blamed for everything that may go wrong in today's world, we have our head held high because we're still awesome because of all of the following reasons:

1. We can multi-task like crazy.

I'm not sure why people think that if we're doing more than one thing at once, we're not doing anything "appropriately." Excuse me for being smart enough to do more than one thing APPROPRIATELY and for saving time.

2. We have a wonderful acceptance for diversity.

Every millennial that I have bumped in to has a huge acceptance for diversity and even craves it. We just want to be inclusive and make America colorful.

3. We can keep up with modern technology and effectively use it while still admiring the world.

The world is evolving through the use of modern technology and social media. If you're not as updated as a millenial (which I think you should be if you value your job), you're old news. A lot of us are adventurers and remember a time when smartphones didn't exist. We value the outside world and have the perfect balance.

4. We value education.

We love and crave knowledge and want to be the best in our field. School is our top priority and it's constantly on our minds. It's on our minds so much that we stress ourselves out.

5. We love our planet.

We want to take care of it and want more regulations when it comes to the planet. We're constantly trying to correct the pollution that the Baby Boomers and Gen X created.

6. If you can't hear our voices, we'll make them go viral.

If we feel strongly about something, we'll create protests or do something creative to make our voices heard. If no one is listening to us, we'll create a video on social media for it to reach thousands of hearts and minds.

.....So please tell me again how Millenials are the "worst generation."

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
