Since Friends came to Netflix, I have found myself watching the endless episodes and laughing at the jokes unlimited amounts of times. The characters are so quirky and entertaining so I always find something different to make me smile.
Since my days of watching Friends on Nick at Nite I have been hooked on the series and always love watching it whenever I need a laugh or am having a bad day. Watching Friends will always be one of my favorite "hobbies" and I'm so happy I get to watch the series an endless amount of times on Netflix. Here are some of the reasons that no series will ever beat my favorite show (and yours too):
1. Joey Tribbiani
This first one speaks for itself. Joey is the funniest character and never fails to make you laugh. His often clueless sense of humor makes the other characters smile, and of course, makes his audience smile. He never fails to have a smooth pickup line for the ladies. Watching Joey on Days of Our Lives as Doctor Drake Ramoray always makes me laugh and makes his fans swoon over the "dreamy doctor" (remember his stalker who thought he was a real doctor??). Joey is a great character who makes the show as entertaining as it is.
2. Ross and Rachel's Relationship
Throughout the whole series, and their whole lives, Ross and Rachel go back and forth between love, friendship, and awkward hiatuses. Since Rachel and Monica's prom where Ross is willing to come to Rachel's rescue when her date did not come, Ross has been in love with Rachel. Their constant battle with love and ultimate child together make their relationship special and a huge part of the show. Rachel's difficulty saying goodbye to Ross at the end of the series makes the audience even more attached to their love.
3. Phoebe Buffay
Phoebe Buffay has to be my favorite character in Friends. Her "hit" songs, like Smelly Cat and Sticky
Shoes that she performed at Central Perk always keep me laughing and, of course, keep her friends smiling. When Phoebe pretends to be Regina Phalange, teaches Monica and Rachel how to run through Central Park and sings to the kindergarten class at the local school, her wit and humor shine through making her the great character she is meant to be.
4. Joey and Chandler's Relationship
Joey and Chandler's bromance in their apartment is one of your favorites in all of TV. Their daily Baywatch afternoons and foosball tournaments make their apartment feel like home. One of the saddest moments of the series is when Joey briefly moves out and Chandler gets a new roommate. How could anyone fill the void of Joey in their apartment? Thankfully this change is short-lived and Joey moves back in, making everything okay again.
5. Monica and Chandler's Love Story
Monica and Chandler turned their strong friendship into a love story. Even though throughout the show they both had love interests (remember Janice and Richard?), they ultimately end up together. Their relationship always featured an element of surprise, especially for the other Friends when they found out that they had been together for awhile. In the end, Monica's proposal to Chandler makes their relationship one to remember, making them one of my favorite Friends couples.
6. The Theme Song
One of your favorite parts of the show is, of course, the theme song. "I'll Be There For You" will always make you smile and make you think of your favorite show. Seeing all the Friends together at the beginning of each show reminds you how awesome all their relationships really are. I still can't figure out why Netflix gives me the option to "skip intro" when watching them dance around in the fountain is one of my favorite parts of the show.
Thankfully, I can go back and watch my favorite show whenever I want to. The episodes never get old and I love watching them over and over again. Watching the different relationships develop makes the show one of the best to be on television. Friends has always been there for me and it'll be there for you too.
