You may remember him as the guy who sang about closing a door, but Brendon Urie didn't stop his singing career after we all outgrew our emo phases.
The front man (and sole remaining original member) of the band Panic! At The Disco should still be on your radar for the following reasons.
1. He's still making great music.
Although his is the only remaining member of Panic! At The Disco, that has not stopped him from making more great albums, with the most recent being "Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die" (2013) and "Death of a Bachelor" (2016). The genre and style of each album has evolved over time, too, and that makes each one exciting to listen to. For those of us who grew up hearing "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" play on repeat, following Panic's musical journey from album to album
2. He and his wife are #relationshipgoals
The couple were married in 2013, and Urie and his wife Sarah have basically been goals since then. As Urie was writing his latest album, he was inspired by his wife and the life they live in L.A. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he was quoted saying the album title Death of a Bachelor was a "throw out to [his] wife" because he started out his career as a bachelor and he has now been happily married for the past three years.
3. He's a dorky, fun-loving guy
From what I know about Urie, he seems to be someone you can't help but smile around. He laughs a lot, he doesn't seem to care what people think about him and he just wants to have fun, and who doesn't want someone with that kind of energy around them?
4. He interacts with his fans
Urie loves to interact with is fans, as can be seen through is Vines, Snapchats and Periscope live streams. There aren't a lot of stars who would take the time out of their busy schedules to answer questions, have a conversation or make something just so their fans will laugh.
5. He doesn't only sing
While he has the voice of an angel, Urie also plays the piano, the drums, the guitar and the bass guitar. He writes a lot of Panic's songs, too, including all the songs on "Death of a Bachelor," and the well-known "I Write Sings Not Tragedies," "This Is Gospel" and "Miss Jackson." Who doesn't love someone with that much musical talent?
6. He's attractive
Kind of stating the obvious here, but come on, look at that face. He has grown up well since we were introduced to him as a quirky 17-year-old singing songs with incredibly long and ridiculous titles. Now, he's 29 years old and has described his life journey as an artist through his band's five albums. What a transformation.
