Hey there, Upper East Siders.

There is only one queen in all of NYC, and her name is Blair Waldorf. All you Serena Van Der Woodsen fans, you must rightfully bow down. Not only does Blair have the Big Apple in the palm of her hand, but she has the drive and charisma that Serena is, well... lacking. Gossip Girl has tried to destroy Blair in every which way, but in the end, she STILL built her empire and was able to have everything that came along with it.

EVERYONE should look up to Blair Waldorf, and here are six reasons why.

1. She ALWAYS has a mission.

Blair is a person who not only wants to rule over every aspect of the Upper East Side, but she has a mission to build her own empire. Following in her mothers' footsteps, she has the opportunity to take over the fashion industry. I mean, the girl has an awesome sense of style. You can't go wrong with anything that Blair Waldorf would wear. She has a mission, every single day. Nothing will stop her from achieving her goals. Even if sometimes it is a little devious. She is Queen B after-all.

2. Blair is the best friend everyone wants.

B can sometimes be a little selfish, she can be bitchy, but she would do anything for her friends. She always finds a way to make them feel better, or solve their biggest problems. Blair is the person that we all want in our life. From shopping dates to our own reality checks, she has got it all. Even when she and S would get in the biggest fights, she was always curious about her well being (and c'mon, you can never break up that power duo). B, we admire your way of taking care of others. Even if it means getting your hands dirty sometimes.

3. Her sass game is on point.

"There's only one queen bitch in this town, and that's me."
-Blair Waldorf

That quote doesn't even do it justice. If she has a problem with you, she will let you know. If she doesn't like something, she will do it. Sometimes in life, we all forget that it is okay to be a little sassy. Sassy displays confidence and B wears it the best.

4. At the end of the day, she knows how to have fun!

The girl is the life of the party! Not only does she know how to party herself, but she can throw one hell of a party. From masquerade balls, slumber parties, cocktail socials, you name it. She has done it. B is the epitome of party planning and organizational skills. If you are looking to have a great time, go where Blair is at. Most likely, you are missing out.

5. CHUCK BASS.

Everyone in life is looking for their own personal Chuck Bass. He does anything and everything for her. He kisses the ground she walks on. Chuck Bass loves Blair Waldorf so much that he is willing to do anything for her. BUT, they both must build their own empire's before they can be together forever. In the end, you have two independent people, who would do anything for one another, yet still, have their own personal successes. #Goals.

6. She is independent.

Blair could everything she wanted in life handed to her on a silver platter. Yes, in some cases she does, but at the end of the day, she wants to do it herself. She wants to build her own empire, she wants to make her own statements, she wants to be the best at everything just so she knows that she did it. That she did it on her own.

Blair Waldorf is everything that a strong, independent woman should be. If you don't know who B is, I would suggest you do your research and catch up on some Gossip Girl.

That's all for now.

XOXO

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
