1. He is enormously talented.
And people totally miss that most of the time. He's like a celebrity super-hero in my eyes. He sings, plays guitar, has been in TV shows ("Arrested Development," anyone?) goes on tour with his band and dropped a new album not too long ago entitled, True That. He is an actor, a comedian, and even takes part in plays on stage, including This Is Our Youth.
Most people have type cast Michael into the "virginal, super dorky, zip up sweater wearing hipster guy" in many, many films - which makes sense, because that's kind of what we have been seeing. (And I'm not complaining. I do love it.) But since 2012, Michael has been doing a few projects with film director Sebastian Silva, who has brought out more of Michael's "professional, diverse side" in acting that audiences would least expect. An example of that would be Crystal Fairy And The Magical Cactus, where Michael played a major D-bag, and more importantly, when he was cast in the horror drama, Magic Magic, playing an insecure, in-the-closet, tool. That's right. Michael Cera in a horror film . . . Iet it sink in. So, I applaud him for branching out and growing and trying new things.
We have also had the chance to see Michael's more creative side, as he has been doing a lot of his own personal filming, with short films and skits such as "Failure," along side the wonderful Aubrey Plaza, which you can absolutely find on his YouTube account. :) Another glorious thing is that you can find Michael in the some of the most unexpected places, like films such as The End Of Love, This Is The End, or the documentary Paper Heart, where he has a cameo or a small role with some other incredibly talented actors, actresses and comedians.

2. His endearing, awkward interviews.
Have you watched all of his interviews on YouTube? .I mean, it's not like I have or anything (*insert my own awkward silence with a cue of grasshoppers in the background*). Anyways, whenever you're having a bad day or need a little pick me up, just watch some Michael Cera interviews and it'll be sure to brighten your day at least a little bit. He in 100 percent adorkable. In most of his interviews, he comes off as extremely friendly and down to earth, kind of your typical from Toronto kind of guy who kind of just says what's on his mind and rolls with it. And if he knows that there is awkwardness in the air, he embraces it. No big deal.
4. He is very much adorable.
Well, I remember first falling in love with him via celebrity crush when I saw him in the movie Juno alongside Ellen Page. I know that Michael Cera isn't really the characters he plays, but c'mon. When you witnessed him playing the warm, yet aloof and kind of confused but with good intentions Paulie Bleeker, you couldn't help but believe that that was Michael's real personality outside of screen time. Oh, especially that part where he goes to see Juno after she has the baby and he gets into the hospital bed with her and wraps his arms around her while "Sea of Love" by Cat Power plays. *tears up.*
And when I saw him in Superbad before Juno came out, I couldn't help but have my heart stolen by the sweet, women-respecting Evan who just wanted to get Becka's attention. "To the, respect of women!" *Takes a chug of alcohol.* And don't even get me started with the film Youth In Revolt and his strong affection for Sheeni. Or his dedication to defeating all of Ramona's 7 evil exes . . . !?!? However, outside of filming and merely in just interviews and TV talk shows, Michael still has that adorable, likable personality that just makes me want to go give him a giant bear hug. If he's so good at playing these adorably sweet characters that I am attracted to, he's gotta be like this in real life... right? Whateves, a girl can dream.

4. He seems like he'd fun fun to hang out with.
He is very into music, obviously. And film. Duh. But he seems like the kind of down to earth guy who you can just sit down with and talk music, books, film, and basically spend the entire day experimenting with an array of instruments and making weird pop culture references, go to concerts with, or go to the coffee shop and drink lattes and crack jokes with one another. What I mean is, he seems very chill and very friendly. I would love to spend the day with MC himself.
5. He is connected to a lot of well respected actors who are talented themselves.
Jonah Hill, Ellen Page, Juno Temple, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Portia Doubleday, Aubrey Plaza, Kieran Culkin, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Brie Larson, (Basically the entire Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World cast) Emma Watson, Jason Schwartzman, Mark Webber, Alia Shawkat, Jennifer Garner, Mindy Kaling, Jason Bateman, Rainn Wilson, Jack Black, Steve Buscemi, Kat Dennings, Emma Stone, Zach Galifinakis, Justin Long, Seth Rogen and ummm... yeah that's all I can think of right now. But yeah, and they're all really cool.
6. He can make fun of himself.
So basically, there was a video on YouTube floating around that I found of Michael Cera messing around on the set of Superbad. He made a satirical video where he went up to the cast and crew of the film and talked to them, and pretty much everyone was getting "annoyed" with him, ignored him and talked smack about him while he was going around completely oblivious. Of course it was fake, but it was perfect, and it proves that Michael rocks at self deprecating humor and he even gets the last laugh when it comes to all the haters out there. KEEP DOING YOUR THANG, MICHAEL.
He is a majestic creature and I want to meet him someday.
And like, I'm in love with him because oh my God.
I'll totally make out with him...
Don't act like you don't secretly love him, because you know that you do - even if just a little bit. He's got something going on and I'm not sure what, but his quirky charm is definitely winning. Love him or hate him, the Ceranation is upon us. Yes, I just totally made that up. I'm going to go continue to fan-girl, now.
