6 Practices To Scare The Winter Blues Away

Something about the winter season can make some of us feel down.

There are plenty of things to do during the winter to brighten your mood, hopefully, some of these things will help!

1. Exercise

This can definitely be a tough one, but exercise can improve your mood so much! Go get a quick workout in at the gym and you might find that your mood has improved.

2. Get some sunlight

A tough thing to do when it starts getting chilly is spending time outdoors. Try making time for a quick walk to absorb some sunlight. Getting sunlight is super important to your health!

3. Spend time with friends

Surround yourself with people you enjoy spending time with. Sometimes staying indoors and away from the cold can get lonely, invite some friends over!

4. Get enough sleep

Make sure your getting a full 7-9 hours of sleep a night. Sleep plays a major role in how we feel, if we're not getting enough of it we won't feel our greatest.

5. Stay warm

The cold air isn't fun. Light some candles and bundle up in blankets! This is definitely one of the more comforting things to do during the winter.

6. Practice self care

This can mean a lot of different things for different people. This can be picking up a good book or just going for a quick walk. Make sure you are finding time to do things that make you happy and help you feel your best.
