Ontario may not seem like it, but it's a very interesting place to visit. There are so many things to do here that I simply couldn't just narrow it down. Although, over this summer I visited my grandparents for a month and did some amazing things there. So, I decided to pick my top 6 favorite things and share them with you to experience on your own!

1. The Donkey Sanctuary Of Canada

Since 1992 this sanctuary has been providing lifelong homes to nearly 100 rescued donkeys. It is a non-profit charity that gets its money completely through donations. The sanctuary is 100 full acres of beautiful rolling hills and cozy barns. This is a once in a lifetime amazing experience with animals that you don't get to see every day, so please donate now to help the sanctuary provide a lifelong home for many more of these wonderful creatures.

2. Stratford Film Festival

Formed by Tom Patterson, the Stratford Festival is North America's largest classical repertory theatre company, they perform everything from Shakespeare to broadway musicals. These amazing productions are finished off on a beautiful apron stage, taking place in the building that has been designed to look exactly like the tent that was around the stage when Stratford Festival was first made in 1953.

3. Niagara Falls

One on the most world renown sites, the majestic Niagara Falls. Where three waterfalls become the international border of Ontario, Canada, and the state of New York. Watching the prepossessing falls as they continue to flow over the cliff is absolutely enchanting, definitely a once in a lifetime chance that you don't want to miss out on!

4. Rockwood Conservation Area

Full of cliffs, caves, glacial potholes, hiking trails, canoes and waterfalls are what make rock wood one of nature's most beloved playgrounds. This area is great grounds for camping and lovely scenery for weddings or other events.

5. Elora Gorge

Here you can grab an ice cream cone and walk right on over to one of Elora's many trails. While walking on one of the trails you are along side a 73 ft cliff overlooking calm or turbulent waters. Many of the trails do have rails, but you are allowed to go down to the water and kayak or tube through the waters. The gorge features many different accommodations such as camping grounds, splash pads, sport's fields, zip lining, etc.

6. Downtown Toronto

Home to 2.8 million people this artistic city is known very well worldwide. Toronto features many known attractions such a the CN Tower, Art Gallery Of Ontario, and Ripley's Aquarium of Canada. But what's really amazing about this city is all the cultural streets inside of it. Toronto has a China town, Kensington Market, Jamaican Town, etc. These streets have shops of clothing all the way to stores just for specific drinks and let me tell you, it is absolutely amazing.

Experience the different ambiances of this city here!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
