Who needs a bae when you've got bagels? Yes, you heard me -- freakin' bagels. Bagels are a breakfast staple. Well, basically anything that involves bread or any sort of carb is life. Whether it be plain, smothered in cream cheese, or topped with egg whites, spinach, and feta cheese (my personal fave) everyone needs a little #baegoal in their lives. Here are the top 6 places in State College to fulfill your #baegoal needs:

1. Irving's

Irving's is one of my top choices for bagels because you can come here for breakfast, lunch, dinner or anywhere in between. They also have a pizza bagel so if you're in the mood for pizza, but don't want a whole one to yourself the pizza bagel usually suffices. You also can't beat the price... everything bagel for $1? Count me in.

2. Bagel Crust

Two words: rainbow bagel. The inner kid in me loves going to Bagel Crust just to get the tie-dye rainbow bagel. Totally gross when you think of all the food coloring, but totally adorable. You're lying if the rainbow bagel doesn't bring a smile to your face.

3. Sadie's Waffles

Ugh, Sadie's. I feel like Sadie's is a totally underrated breakfast place in State College. Maybe the name makes it hard to compete with The Waffle Shop, but Sadie's bagel sandwiches are literally AMAZE. Maybe its all the butter they put on the bagel, or maybe it's just the toppings. Whatever it is, Sadie's Waffles is a definite go to for any bagel connoisseur in State College.

4. Panera

Panera is a classic. I love Panera's bagels because, well for one, I always get an email where I get a free bagel every day for a month... UM?? YES PLEASE. Other than that Panera's bagels are just fresh AF. I recommend the cinnamon crunch.

5. The Naked Egg Cafe

The Naked Egg is another one of those hidden gems of State College. It's a little further out on West College Ave., but definitely worth the drive. They don't have much to chose from, but the cute little atmosphere makes it worth the trek for a bagel.

6. Dunkin' Donuts

Another classic: D & D. Dunkin' is my go to when I'm in a hurry. At Dunkin', I typically get a plain bagel with cream cheese. But recently I tried the garden veggie cream cheese and multigrain bagel and it was delicious. Plus it made me feel as though I was being a little bit healthier than normal.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
