6 Movies On Netflix You Need To Watch
awesomenesstv.com

There's nothing we all love more than a good Netflix binge session. I love all the movie and tv show choices I have, but sometimes it's hard to find something I really like. So I often look for gems other people found hidden on Netflix, and I thought I would share some of my hidden treasures for people looking for something new to watch in almost every category. Sit back, grab your popcorn, and get to watching!

1. White Bird In A Blizzard (2014)

Thriller Category: Talk about suspense! And not to mention to crazy and built up plot twist that will leave your head spinning for weeks. This movie stars the one and only Shailene Woodley, who plays a teenager who's disturbed mother disappears. Find out how the disappearance haunts the rest of the film.

2. A Girl Like Her (2015)

Drama Category: This movie left me in tears. At first, I honestly thought this was a real documentary, I mean it's that good. This follows the life of Lexi and her best friend Jimmy as they secretly record the popular girl who ruthlessly bullies Lexi. Lexi attempts suicide and as she's left in a coma, Jimmy tries to find her justice.

3. Chicago (2002)

Musical Category: It's time to head back to the roaring 20s, kid. You won't be able to resist the murderous plots or burlesque feel, let alone the catchy songs that come along with it. You'll find yourself rooting for Roxie Hart to escape her murder charge. Watch this, and thank me later.

4. Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008)

Documentary Category: No film on Netflix has ever touched me the way this one has. This follows the life of Dr. Andrew Bagby who was killed by his ex-girlfriend. She flees and escapes her charges and is pregnant with his baby. Andrew's parents fight for custody, all the while his friend who is a filmmaker made this documentary to show to Zachary, Andrew's son, so he can learn about who his father was. Warning: This film WILL change your life.

5. Safe Haven (2013)

Romance Category: It's cheesy but it's true, we all love a little romance here and there. The main character Katie, played by Julianne Hough, escapes her dark past and tries to make a new life for herself. She learns to love and trust again, but not for long until her demons come back and threaten her.

6. The Fundamentals oI'mf Caring (2016)

*Dark* Comedy Category: What. A. Movie. This will leave you laughing even when you shouldn't. The plot shows a writer becoming a caregiver to a disabled teen as they embark on an insane journey as they learn about hope and trust and friendship. Plus it stars Paul Rudd and Selena Gomez. What else is there to say?

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
