In the digital age in which we live, our smart phones are our lifelines.
When thinking of the most important apps on our phones, most of us would agree that social media outlets are complete necessities. However, there are several non-social media apps that are must haves for WSU students.
1. StudyBlue. Instead of scrolling through Instagram or Twitter between classes, start utilizing your time wisely and download the StudyBlue app! In my opinion, this is the easiest and most efficient way to study for your classes. You pick your university, then your class, and then even your specific professor! This is awesome because students from past semesters upload all the information you need to know for papers, quizzes, and exams. Study for your classes in digital flashcard form in the palm of your hand. 2. LinkedIn. It's never too early to start making professional connections in college. The LinkedIn app is a great way to connect with classmates, professors and possible future employers.3. WSU. The WSU app has everything you need to know regarding our beloved school. From weather to current events and news, and directions around campus this app is crucial to all WSU students. One of the best features of this app is the bus route feature. So many students in Pullman rely on the bus system; the WSU app gives details about the location of busses in real-time and walking routes to bus stops. Finally no more being in the dark about where the heck your bus is!
4. CNN. Sometimes living in the remote Palouse makes you feel a little out of touch with the rest of the world. With the CNN app, you can stay updated with current events and issues that impact our lives. You can get push notifications for breaking news so you're never the last to hear about important ongoings around the world.
5. OWA for iPhone. Finally an app for our WSU email accounts! Now we can access our school emails through a convenient app instead of having to go through internet on Safari. So simple and easily accessible.
6. Find my iPhone. At one point or another throughout your college career, odds are you will probably "misplace" your phone after a wild night. The Find My iPhone app can help extradite the often lengthy process of searching for your most precious lifeline.
