In this day and age celebrities lives are on blast whether they would like them to be or not. This information is spread and talked about whether the celebrity gave permission or not. People will gossip 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and be completely unbothered about the fact that these celebrities have feelings. If people were to call you a snake for months, I'm sure that would have an effect on you.

If you haven't guessed already, I'm talking about those who did just that to Taylor Swift. The amount of probing that goes into Taylor Swift's life is absolutely ridiculous and the fact that I even have to mention this, in general, is atrocious. There are several things that people have had to say about Taylor over the last few years, so I'm here to debunk and disprove all of the fake news surrounding her as well as address things I've read in response to her music and self-portrayal.

1. Taylor Swift is a Trump supporter.

I'm a Taylor Swift fan; a swiftie if you will. If you didn't know this before, you know it now. I have subscribed to notifications for all of Taylors tweets (up until her account was cleared), her Tumblr updates, almost every social media you can imagine, and I have NEVER seen her physically say that she supports Donald Trump. Taylor has the right to withhold her political identity. She is not obligated to tell everyone EVERYTHING.

2. Taylor Swift is a snake.

Just because she puts her relationship stories and emotions into her music doesn't mean that she's a snake. Just because she didn't approve of Kanye calling her a "bitch" doesn't mean she's a snake. And, honestly, if Taylor Swift is a snake then so is everyone else in Hollywood.

3. "I miss the old Taylor."

Hate to break it to you, but, the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now because she's dead. :)

But in all seriousness, you have all had all the time in the world to love and support Taylor Swift. Now that she's been pushed to become all of the epithets that were thrown at her (i.e. a liar, a victim, a snake) you suddenly miss who she used to be. So don't get it twisted.

4. Taylor Swift always plays the victim.

In some instances, I can see where people would think that Taylor is playing the victim, however, she absolutely, positively, does NOT always play the victim. She expresses her feelings through song and no one

5. "Taylor is so messed up! She's releasing her album on Kanye's Mother's death anniversary!"

Okay, if you really think Taylor would stoop that low as to release her album on Kanye's mother's death anniversary, you're insane. Even after Kanye had his big mess up at the VMA's, Taylor literally wrote a song about him saying, "who you are is not what you did, you're still an innocent."

Like, come on. The numbers within her release date add up to 13 ... if that doesn't spell out "Taylor Swift" to you then I don't know what does.

6. Taylor's album 'reputation' is going fail miserably.

Taylor has come out with five other albums, three of which sold more than one million copies within the first week. Her single "Look What You Made Me Do" literally replaced "Despacito" on the Billboard Top 100. So, I have absolutely no idea why you think this album will be anything but successful.

Taylor has been successful ever since her first album and will continue to be despite the efforts of celebrities and the public to bring her down. So, in the end, Taylor Swift is going to come for all of your favorites and knock them off the charts, just like she has before.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
