Be proactive about how you spend your summer. Time flies when we’re enjoying ourselves and it’s important that we recognize and remember our best days. And not for anything, but this winter was too darn long to not do so. It would be a disgrace to mother nature not to appreciate the sunshine this summer...

1. Keep your phone on do not disturb.

Nothing is better than a day on the beach. Soaking up the sun and listening to the sound of the waves is an unmatched experience, so why add technology to the mix?

2. Spend time with the ones who make you your best you.

Use your free time the right way. Take a step back and surround yourself with people who make you feel loved this summer.

3. Read.

Good books. Be grateful that you can read leisurely and not have to highlight a 500-page textbook as you turn the page.

4. Take it all in.

Feel the moments. Even the small ones. When you’re laughing with your best friends at 3 am, embrace it! Soon enough August will roll around and the little memories are the ones you’ll cherish the most.

5. Rise and shine.

Make the most of every day. There is nothing worse than waking up late and feeling like you’ve wasted your day away by sleeping. Sit outside and enjoy the breeze these summer mornings.

6. Escape.

Explore. Get out of your comfort zone and travel- it doesn't have to be far. In the short time that we can appreciate such beautiful weather, its important that we take advantage of it through experiences.
