Fall is the time of pumpkins, apples, foliage, hoodies, football, and more. For all of these things, fall is my favorite season. However, I find that it can be quite difficult to dress for the fall being that it is the transitioning season between summer and winter. With global warming as an issue at hand, we have even experienced forty-degree days in the beginning of October and seventy-degree days at the end of October. With a little experimenting of my wardrobe, I have found a number of items that I feel are definite fall must-haves that can satisfy any weather within that degree range.

1. Thick Wool Scarf

Wool infinity scarves, such as this one, help keep heat insulated in your neck and make a great accessory for the colder fall days. I also find that scarves like these can dress up a cozy outfit that may seem too basic.

2. Knee-High Socks

Knee-high socks are perfect for those days where the weather is appropriate enough to wear a skirt but still chilly enough to need some kind of leg warmth. Tights and leggings can sometimes be too overbearing and bring too much warmth, but knee-highs will provide a substantial amount of warmth while adding a cute touch to your outfit.

3. Black Leather Jacket

Black leather jackets have been a fall staple forever. Though they may seem thin, I have found that because of the material, leather jackets can be very warm, especially when layered up on the extra chilly days. Not to mention, black leather jackets will always match and give your outfit an extra edgy touch.

4. Ripped Black Jeans

Ripped black jeans are a definite must-have for my closet. On my laziest days, I know I can pick out a pair and match it with nearly any top and shoes. The rips allow for yet another touch of edge for your look, but the jeans will surely still keep you warm on a chilly day.

5. Oversized Sweater

Oversized sweaters are the best! They're big, they're warm, they go with any bottoms, and they suffice as your go-to top. They're great, whether you need a lazy day with your hair up in a bun or a dress up day with a statement necklace.

6. Black Leggings

Black leggings are possibly my favorite fall staple, for the main reason that I hate jeans. Although jeans sometimes fit an outfit better, no bottoms provide the amount of comfort and neutrality that good 'ol reliable leggings hold.

Having all six of these fall staples will surely leave you loving the season and keep you fashionable throughout!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
