Being able to see your favorite band/artist in real life is one of the best feelings in the world. Something about the rush of adrenaline that you get when you see your favorite band/artist perform live is irreplaceable. Here are the six stages of emotions that everyone feels when seeing their favorite band/artist in concert.
1. Excitement
The countdown on your phone finally reached zero. It's the day when you and your friends are on your way and you couldn't be more excited. The band's/artist's music is blasting through the car or through your headphones as you sit on the train. It's almost time.
2. Anxious
You're in the arena and you can feel everyone's exciting energy. Everyone is talking and music is blasting. Your heart starts racing and all that you can think about is what's about to happen next.
3. Overwhelmed
Finally, the concert is starting. The lights lower and the crowd erupts in screaming (and some in tears). The lights go back up and your favorite band/artist is right in front of you. At the first strum of the guitar, the sound of the first drum beat, and the first note sung, you don't know how to feel.
4. Fear
"Is this what it feels like to die?" "I swear I'm dying." "I'm having a heart attack." This is about the time when you start worrying about your life because you're too overwhelmed to feel human.
5. Happiness
This happens about halfway through, once you've calmed down a little bit and realized that you will survive you start enjoying the moment. You'll be singing, dancing, smiling, and maybe still screaming as you enjoy the rest of the night.
6. Sadness
The concert has come to a close and the post-concert depression hits immediately. This is the worst part. You sit on the way home looking through all the pictures and videos from the night. Parting ways with one of your favorite bands/artists is not easy.
