6 Companies That Give Back
TOMS

We live in a world where people love to advertise their favorite companies. The great thing about many of college students' favorite companies is that they don't just offer products, they also give back. If you love giving back, here are some companies you need to check out:

1. TOMS

This one is pretty obvious. The famous shoe company has expanded, and now sells jewelry, sunglasses, clothing, and even coffee. A target in-store collection even featured dinnerware. If you haven't checked out the TOMS website lately, you definitely should!

2. The Elephant Pants

The Elephant Pants are advertised as being the comfiest pants you'll ever own. Available in countless colors and patterns, these elephant pants are a favorite of yoga enthusiasts and elephant "phans" alike. They also sell jewelry, water bottles, rompers, handbags, and tapestries. When you purchase these pants, a portion of the proceeds go to the Save the Elephants Foundation, which hopes to put an end to poaching.

3. Headbands of Hope

Headbands of Hope is a company that boasts countless styles of headbands along with jewelry and other products. Whether you like jeweled headbands, flower crowns, turbans, or buffs, Headbands of Hope has a headband for you! They even have an impressive selection of wedding headbands. When you purchase from them, they donate a headband to a child with cancer. Their Instagram feed is even full of adorable pictures from girls who have received one of their headbands.

4. The Ivory Ella

The Ivory Ella brings together the best of animal love and t-shirts. This best-of-both-worlds company sells shirts that bear the image of their precious elephant mascot and look like the epitome of comfortable. Like The Elephant Pants, The Ivory Ella donates a portion of their proceeds to Save the Elephants.

5. Pura Vida Bracelets

These bracelets are the cutest things to wear on your wrists. The countless regular collection bracelets are adorable, come in a variety of styles, and help support the people in Costa Rica who make them. They also have charity bracelets that help raise funds for a variety of causes. Whether you have a heart for cancer related research and organizations or you are all about saving the orcas, there is a bracelet for you. With very low prices, these bracelets are worth checking out.

6. Rahab's Rope

Those adorable leather and pearl bracelets and necklaces that you've inevitably seen on campus are just a few of the products that this company has to offer. Rahab's Rope is all about empowering women and girls, giving them hope, and putting an end to human trafficking.

With all of these wonderful options to choose from, there is only one question left to ask: who will your next purchase help?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
