It’s that time of the semester where final exams seem to creep up on you and take over. You wake up in the morning and notice your face is starting to break out due to stress. You find yourself feeling like a fish out of water and unable to breathe until all your studying is all done, you take the exam, and you get your grade back. It's bizarre how much school and grades can take over your life and control the way you think, eat, act, and breathe. The good news is, God is good and in all reality, we don’t have to worry another second. Do we still have to work hard? Yes. However, our God is bigger and greater than the letters, A, B, C, and D. Turn to Him during this time and ask Him to properly equip and guide you through as you prepare to take your final exams. He loves you and is there for you.
Proverbs 18:10 - “The name of the LORD is a fortified tower: the righteous run to it and are safe.”
Turn to the Lord when you are burdened, He is your safe place. He is your “go to.”
Isaiah 41:10- “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
When you are weak and tired and the road seems long, God is our strength. He has a tight grip on those who follow and love Him deeply. He will not let you fall.
Psalm 16:8- “I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
Do NOT be rattled, instead fix your vision on the Lord. He is your guide, Father, and biggest fan. He will see you through.
1 Peter 5:7- “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”
When you start to feel overwhelmed, drained and or powerless when preparing for exams, take a deep breath and know God has already submitted your grades. He submitted them way before you even applied to college.
Psalm 120:1- “I call on the LORD in my distress and he answers me.”
During the moments when you start to feel stressed out or incapable, call on the Lord. He wants to hear about your troubles.
Mathew 6:34- “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
It is so easy to think ahead, especially when you have an important exam that you HAVE to pass. The date of the exam seems to almost haunt you and take over your every thought, but don’t let it. Each day presents its own difficulties, don’t jump ahead and stress about a day that isn’t even here yet. Believe that Gods will, will be done day in and day out.
