One Direction has officially started their estimated 18 month hiatus. Harry and Niall are no where to be found, Liam's already bored, and Louis got a butt tattoo in Chicago. Are we surprised? Not really. Carpool Karaoke may be the last large and new event One Direction fans will have to rewatch (over and over) for a while, but the past five years aren't forgotten. The hiatus is sad, it really is. BUT, after these 56 GIFs, it's fair to say they deserve a rest. May Louis go out more often, may Liam post more boredom selfies, and may Harry and Niall give us a sign they're alive.
