It’s no mystery we’re all excited to be back at Boston College, move in, see our friends, and have a blast! Everything seems fine and dandy until you remember that one little detail...going to class. Here’s a basic thought process everyone has on their first day of classes:

1. Wow! I forgot how pretty BC is. It’s great to be back.
2. Awww look at Gasson.
3. Phew that’s a lot of stairs to climb.
4. HEY I know her.
5. That guy definitely just gave me the BC look away.
6. OK, which one’s Stokes again? Oh, duh.
7. Let me find this classroom...
8. Why are the classroom numbers weird?
9. Wait, what class am I even going to?
10. Philosophy of the Person? Sounds easy enough.
11. I should be a philosopher.
12. HA yeah right.
13. When did they put clocks in the classrooms?
14. Should I sit in the front so the Professor knows I care, or the back to avoid all social contact?
15. The back. Definitely the back.
16. Why are people staring at me?
17. Oh, wait, that was just awkward eye contact.
18. I wish some of my friends were in this class
19. Is this outfit not OK for the first day of school?
20. It’s so awkward sitting here with only three people.
21. I hope more people come.
22. This chair is so small.
23. Why would that tall kid sit in front of me? I CAN’T SEE.
24. Getting significantly less awkward now as more people come thank goodness.
25. I think I recognize that kid.
26. Where’s the professor? Is class cancelled on the first day?
27. Nope, Professor just walked in.
28. Awkward moment of Professor setting down belongings.
29. Hey a syllabus I remember these it’s all coming back to me now.
30. It feels so great to get back in the swing of things.
31. I missed learning and being productive.
32. This sounds interesting and the Professor is cool.
33. I’m going to learn so much.
34. I really want to stay on top of my schoolwork this year

36. Wait, how do I already have 50 pages of reading for tonight?
37. And a quiz next week?And an essay in two weeks?Is this a joke?
38. Definitely never had this much homework so early in the year before.
39. I think I forgot how to do school.
40. It’s OK I’ll stay on top of everything.
41. Please please let there be no group projects.
42. What if everyone is smarter than me?
43. I hate being graded for participation.
44. This class is going by so slowly.
45. It’s hot in here.
46. What’s my next class? Maybe I’ll be more motivated in that one.
47. I’m hungry.
48. Can I snack in here or will everyone judge?
49. Can I go out tonight? Like, it’s still syllabus week, isn’t it?
50. OK I miss summer.
