In high school, I never received any snow days, because I lived right by the Lake. Coming to college, I thought, oh, wow, I'm going to get more snow days, because people have to commute and walk 20 minutes across campus.

Wrong. Completely wrong. I've been at Kent for three years now and I think I've had maybe four snow days. Doesn't matter if it's negative 10 with two feet of snow, Kent will not cancel classes. Just accept that and try to accomplish one of these 50 things instead. Your chances are probably better than getting a snow day.

1. Catching a black squirrel.

2. Going to Chipotle and there being no line.

3. Seeing Dunkin' with zero cars in the parking lot.

4. Seeing a frat guy in baggy sweat pants.

5. A frat guy in cargos and crocs.

6. Finding a decent party on a Friday night.

7. Meeting a sorority girl who doesn't love all 200 of her sisters.

8. Meeting a sorority girl who isn't obsessed with one frat.

9. Getting through to the Bursar office.

10. Getting your number one dorm choice freshman year.

11. Having the WiFi work perfectly for 24 hours.

12. Making it through ALEX without wanting to jump off the 12th floor of club lib.

13. Club lib actually becoming a club.

14. Finding a job on campus that you actually want.

15. Getting unlimited free Eastway omelets for a year.

16. Seeing zero cops or swat teams on Halloween.

17. Having a stress free Halloween.

18. Meeting a nursing major who doesn't want to rip their hair out during finals week.

19. Everyone being happy with who is chosen to perform at Flashfest.

20. Kanye coming for Flashfest.

21. Kanye going out to Panini's with you after Flashfest.

22. Becoming a sports school.

23. Having a big student section at any game other than games against Akron.

24. Making it through the wind tunnel without messing up your hair.

25. Walking down the esplanade without seeing someone you know.

26. Making it through the K without encountering protesters.

27. Finding a table with an outlet on the forth floor during finals week.

28. Getting food from Rosie's within 20 minutes on a Saturday night.

29. Not running into someone you know at Mike's Place on a Sunday morning.

30. Seeing a fashion major not put together.

31. Getting into Water Street with a fake.

32. Getting into any bar except Loft with a fake.

33. Getting a selfie with Bev at a frat party.

34. Having good weather on homecoming.

35. Making it to the football game on homecoming.

36. Watching the Flashes win a game on homecoming.

37. Finding out what exactly a Golden Flash is.

38. Not seeing any green on fake patties day.

39. Celebrating real St. Patrick's day more seriously than fake patties day.

40. Knowing the true meaning behind St. Patrick's day.

41. Driving for five minutes without hitting a pot hole.

42. Seeing campus with no construction.

43. Kent's sports teams making it to the finals of something.

44. Parking a car on campus and not getting a ticket.

45. Finding parking on campus.

46.)Getting the larpers to stop larping.

47. Order a Boars Head sandwich without being harassed.

48. Not pass FYE.

49. Have a decent looking student ID on your first try.

50. Being an overall worse school than Akron. Well, actually, a snow day is probably much more likely to happen.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
