"I won't waste this summer away like last summer!"

We tell ourselves that every year, and every year we let ourselves down. Well, not this summer! This is a bucket list for all the single ladies (put your hands up!) to do over break. They're not only easy to check off, but also really fun! Take this list with you everywhere you go and don't forget to make this summer count.

1. Say yes to a spontaneous adventure.

2. Go on a group date.

3. Say hello to a stranger.

4. Learn something new.

(ex. how to play an instrument, speak a new language, drive a stick-shift)

5. Go on a hike.

6. Visit a new coffee shop.

7. Start a blog.

8. Buy a new book and finish it before summer ends.

Now that I think of it, go on and buy 10 new books if you'd like.

9. Tour your city and visit the shops and stores you've never been to before.

10. Volunteer.

11. Take a road trip.

Whether it be a day trip or a weekend trip, make it happen.

12. Try a new recipe with friends.

Eating it is only half the fun.

13. Go to every coffee shop or stand in your city.

14. Treat yourself to a spa day.

Even if it's just painting your nails and putting on a home-made face mask.

15. Go on a run at sunset or sunrise.

16. Have a night on the town with girlfriends.

17. Go to a park and swing on a swing.

No matter what anyone says, you're not too old to swing!

18. Take a girls-only camping trip.

For the whole weekend! Reserve a campsite with a shower if you so desire.

19. Take yourself to the movies.

20. Buy cheap tickets to a local concert.

You won't regret it! Party it up and dance like nobody is watching.

21. Go solo shopping and treat yourself.

Buy a magazine, a cute pair of heels or just a chocolate bar.

22. Wake up and watch the sunrise.

23. Go dancing with friends.

24. Do something you're terrified to do.

Go skydiving, ride a hot air balloon, walk through a haunted house (at night!).

25. Take yourself to the beach and have a picnic.

Or take yourself to the lake. Whatever.

26. Build a fort and binge-watch Netflix.

27. Go to the zoo.

Buy a snack and snap some good pictures.

28. Buy yourself some food and people-watch on a bench.

29. Go to a local festival.

Trust me, there will be more than one festival near you. Try the Shakespeare Festival or the Festival of Lights.

30. Ride a ferris wheel.

Take a ride by yourself or with a stranger. Both could be just as fun.

31. Buy yourself flowers.

32. Take a day without social media.

A whole twenty-four hours. I promise, you will survive.

33. Dress up really nice for the pure pleasure of it.

34. Reach out to someone and grab a cup of coffee.

Catch up with a friend from high school that you always wanted to befriend. Or invite someone you just met out to talk and hang. Even if it is awkward and you don't hang out with them again, it'll be worth it.

35. Invite someone you only know on social media to hang out.

36. Take your dog on a walk.

If you don't have a dog, go on a walk anyways. Or take your cat.

37. Take a class in your town (or the next town over).

Paint-A-Plate, learn to do the salsa, sculpt a vase.

38. Go to a drive-in.

39. Go to a farmer's market.

40. Visit family members as often as you can.

When's the last time you took your grandma to lunch or had a fun day with cousins?

41. Have a spa night or sleepover with friends.

42. Actually do one of the DIY crafts you have saved on Pinterest.

Choose one pin from the hundreds on your profile.

43. Print all of your pictures.

Okay, maybe not all of them, but all the ones that bring back good memories.

44. Take yourself to breakfast or brunch.

45. Get our of your state.

46. Float a local river or go fishing.

47. Have a scavenger hunt around town.

48. Rent a bike and ride it around town.

Don't rent one if you already own one, obviously. Just stroll around.

49. Jump in a lake fully clothed.

50. Host a game night at your house.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
