5 YouTubers That Are Even Better Than Today's Stars

In today's society, social media and internet platforms are becoming so widely popular and used by almost everyone. The famous website YouTube, was created in 2005 by three men in California. It has grown to be a worldwide network that countless amount of people use every minute of the day. Ranging from watching makeup and hair tutorials, to any kind of tutorial, to dance videos, to blooper scenes from a favorite show, and much more, YouTube has so much to offer to everyone. One of the more favored reasons of using YouTube is to listen to music, whether it be a famous artists' VEVO page or covers of songs done by people or even originals that fellow YouTubers post on their channels. So I thought I would take some time to shine the spotlight on five, individually talented YouTube singers that deserve to be recognized. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!

1. Sophia Scott

This brilliant musician and singer is one I have just recently discovered and I can honestly say I was blown away by her voice. Many of her videos are of her singing popular songs that you have probably heard play on the radio. However, her genre of music can range from to Country, to Indie, to R&B and more. She puts her own twist and uniqueness into every cover she does to make it that much more amazing.

Check out her cover of Love on the Brain by Rihanna.

2. Drew Tabor

I actually found this musical beauty FOURS YEARS AGO. She has over 100 videos, which also include video blogs she has made about her life and struggles she has overcome. Her voice is pure, very raw and her style is down-to-earth. Tabor was also the first introduction I had to one of my favorite artists, Lana Del Rey.

Check out her cover of Born to Die by Lana Del Ray (the first cover over hers that I watched).

3. Holly Miller (Hollyn)

I also found this singer about four years ago while surfing the web and listening to many different covers. Hollyn is a Christian singer-songwriter who also incorporates Pop, Country and R&B into her music. Hollyn was a contestant on American Idol during season 12, and although this list is about YouTubers that have yet to make it to stardom, I wanted to include her based on her years of making videos and the fact that she is still just entering the music industry. Her voice is so soft and smooth and it matches perfectly with her wonderful guitar-playing.

Check out her cover of Drop in The Ocean by Ron Pope.

4. Madilyn Bailey

Yet another YouTuber that I have been following for many years, Bailey is a Pop singer-songwriter who has spent years making phenomenal covers of songs and also writing some of her own. She had an EP release in 2012, including five of her originals. This young lady has a powerhouse voice that many wouldn't expect, and can make every song sound like her own with her unique and effortless voice.

Check out her cover of My Immortal by Evanescence.

5. Alex Aiono

I just recently came across this incredibly talented musician and his beautiful voice after seeing one of his covers shared on Facebook. Aiono not only has a wonderful voice but also plays many instruments and uses a music board to create mashups of songs and add background music to his covers. He also can sing in a second language!

Check out his cover of One Dance by Drake.

I will add that I chose the first covers I had ever discovered by these artists for the list, so many of them are from a few years ago. Feel free to go check out these incredibly talented people on their channels and see how far they have grown from the covers I shared with you here!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
