YouTube launched Justin Bieber's career, but there are plenty of artists out there that have put their work on YouTube who deserve some love, too.
1. Lindsey Stirling
She dances and she plays the violin. How cool is that? She was originally on "America's Got Talent" season five and got voted off (something I will never understand). She released her most recent album, "Brave Enough" in August 2016 and she just released her first Christmas album, "Warmer in the Winter" a few days ago. She's currently competing on "Dancing with the Stars".
2. Peter & Evynne Hollens
They’re a super talented married couple who performs covers of pop songs and Broadway songs alike; some of them a capella, some of them not. They each have their own channel, but they collaborate a lot. They're definitely relationship goals. My favorite of their covers is "I See The Light."
3. The Piano Guys
Jon Schmidt plays the piano, and Steven Sharp Nelson plays the cello. They do classical covers of popular songs. One of my favorite covers of theirs is “A Thousand Years,” and my favorite mashup cover they did was “Beethoven’s 5 Secrets,” a blend of “Secrets” by OneRepublic and Beethoven’s 5th.
4. Taylor Davis
She’s a violinist as well. She mostly does covers of movie and video game scores, but she did release an album of original music in 2015. My favorite cover that she's done is a "Star Wars"medley she did when "The Force Awakens" came out.
5. Todrick Hall
He’s done covers of Disney songs, as well as re-imagining Disney movies with an artist’s music, like "Peter Pan" set to Katy Perry (“Peter Perry”) and "Cinderella" set to Beyoncé (“Cinderoncé”). His first original album, "Straight Outta Oz", was released in 2016, and was a sort of homage to Beyonce’s "Lemonade". Since then, he’s been on Broadway as Lola in "Kinky Boots" and appeared on "RuPaul's Drag Race". One of my favorite songs from "Straight Outta Oz" is "Black and White," his collaboration with Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying, and Kirstin Maldonado of Pentatonix.
