As a reader, you might recognize the struggle of organizing your bookshelves. There are many different ways to do it. Here are five ways to organize your shelves.

1. The Rainbow Bookcase-

A fun way to arrange your shelves is the 'Rainbow.' If you choose this way of organizing, your books will be displayed by color. White goes with white, red goes with red, blue goes with blue and so forth. It's a fun way, but it does take some time to do it since you'll have to sort out your books first. You'll probably have doubts about the white/blue books and if they go with the blue books or the white books, but in the end, it's worth it. A side note though: do not choose this bookcase if you want your series together and your heights the same. This will not be the case and you should just try another way.

2. The Structural Bookcase-

If you like structure in your life and you want that to reflect in your bookcases, this way of organizing might be the one for you. First you start with sorting out all of your books. You can choose different ways of organizing. For example, you sort out genres or paperbacks vs. hardcovers. I'm gonna tell you the way I like it: I have made different categories on my shelves. All my series (duology, trilogy and series), nicely in order of course. Followed by my stand-alones and incomplete series, special edition English literature and standard editions English literature. Dutch literature and last but not least my child novels. Of course, there are many ways to do this and you can choose what you like best, but now you'll have an example of what might work as a structural bookcase.

3. The Highs and Lows Bookcase-

If you like your aesthetic you'll like this Bookcase. Besides, it's a great combination with number two! You're going to sort your books by height. All your different sizes go with each other, you can choose to sort it on genre or not, it doesn't matter. The case has a highlight that you're series are nicely tucked together since they hopefully all have the same heights. A downside is that there will probably be some books that don't really fit in anywhere. That have special sizes. You'll just have to live with that.

4. The Unique Bookcase-

Try to change it up a bit. This is only one way to make your shelves more unique, since an unique shelve is of course... unique. I'm going to tell you to just turn it around a bit. Lay your books down so they aren't just in a straight boring line. Put some books with the cover towards you, instead of all those spines. Put boxes and baskets on your shelves in which you can put other books. For example, the books that have really different colors or Heights that don't fit in with the rest of them. One problem solved.

5. The Artsy Bookcase-

For the creative people that are with us. I probably don't even have to tell you how to art up your shelves, but I'm still going to do it. Decorate your shelves. Cover your books with nice prints, hang colorful lamps on your Bookcase and put beautiful accessories on your shelves. Do what makes you happy! Nothing is wrong. Of course you can combine this option with all of the above if you'd like, we won't put ourselves in a box!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
