With celebrations like the Fourth of July, Father's Day, and Flag Day flying by, and the beginning of August around the corner. I have to say that Summer is ending. Soon, I will not be able to binge watch shows on Netflix, eat popsicles all day, and will be sitting in a classroom trying to stay awake. Summer 2016 may have not been as excited as I had hoped, but I have had some good moments and memories that I will keep forever. Here are a few ways to enjoy this Sunny season while it lasts.

1. Visit the beach one last time

Okay, Galveston, TX or your local beach is definitely not Bora Bora but you can always pretend it is. Throw a beach ball and wade in the water before high tide. Going to the beach during summer is always a good idea.

2. Hit up the semi annual sales

Another sign that summer is coming to a close are semi annual sales. It's basically when stores discount items to get rid of them but I am not complaining. You can buy a swimsuit that you have been eyeing for a bargain. Just make sure to purchase quality items and not something random because it is half of the original price. You want to be laughing to the bank, not crying.

3. Meet up with your hometown friends

You probably have done this too many times to count this summer but you should hang out a few more times before school starts and can only FaceTime each other. If you are all sick of eating at the same place together, try a different place that none of you have ever tried.

4. Snap a few more photos

Sometimes the best pictures captured happen out of bittersweet circumstances. After trying something different with your friends or by yourself, revisit your favorite places to eat, shop, just have fun, etc and take pictures to look back on the time where you spent the last days of summer.

5. Reflect on events that have happened this summer

It may seem a little too soon to have nostalgia but reflecting on the laughs, tears and growth you have experienced is always relevant. You may have started a new hobby, mastered a skill, went on a hike, or formed some new relationships. If you have any regrets this summer, just know that things will not always how the way you planned then to go. Learn from your mistakes and move on.

While Autumn is my favorite season, Summer will always have a place in my heart for the adventures with my friends, camping out and going to the beach. It is the season all students look forward to and can seem like it will never end...until it does.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
