As Christmas rolls around, it is time to get into the spirit. Here are just a few ways to prepare for this holiday season:

1. Put up the tree.

It's finally that time again to break out your favorite ornaments and lights. Whether you get a real tree or you have a fake one, it still looks nice when it's all done. What better way to begin the celebration than to decorate your tree?

2. Light the fire.

It's always my favorite time of the year when I finally get to use the fireplace on a daily basis. Grab your favorite blanket and curl up by the fire.

3. Drink hot chocolate.

It seems as if coffee is okay to drink every day of the year, but hot chocolate provides a seasonal warmth that puts you in a holly, jolly mood.

4. Bake Christmas cookies.

Grab the cookie cutters and your best apron...it’s that time of year. The only thing better than smelling holiday cheer is to taste it.

5. Listen to Christmas music.

The quickest way to express your Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear. Turn on the radio and sing along to your favorite Christmas song.

The holiday season comes and goes quickly, so let this year be the jolliest of them all. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you.
