Christmas season is always difficult, especially when it comes to buying gifts. To add insult to injury, some people have been in your life for so long, you feel you've exhausted every possible gift option. And, if you're anything like me, you probably don't have all the time in the world to walk through fifteen malls just to find the perfect present. So here is a short guide on ways to do your Christmas shopping via the internet, and how to hopefully find a gift for that person on your list who is impossible to buy for.

1. Buzzfeed's Buy Me That

Not only does Buzzfeed do gift guides, but each of their product lists fall under a specific category, and all of the products have links to where you can buy them online. On top of that, there is a daily "Best Deals on the Internet Today" list, if you're looking to save some money on some nice gifts.

2. RedBubble

If you know what your person likes, but you feel all the gifts you find in stores are not unique enough, try RedBubble. The site offers a multitude of ways to get artists' prints in personalized ways, such as t-shirts, throw pillows, or stickers. Everything is fairly priced and always high quality.

3. Etsy

If you're looking for something ultra special and unique, try Etsy! There's nothing like a handmade gift from someone trying to run their own business. A lot of times, you can work with Etsy artists to personalize designs, and there's a good chance you'll find something there for the person you're buying for.

4. Uncommon Goods

This site has quite a variety of things, so if the person you're buying for has unique taste, try starting here!

5. Make Something Yourself

I know it seems weird to suggest a handmade gift, but sometimes those are the best. You can try arm knitting a scarf in 30 minutes or making a memory book for the special person in your life. A gift with a little heart, even if all you did was pay $5 for some yarn, is the best kind of gift.

Christmas shopping is always stressful, especially when you don't know what to get or don't have the time to go looking in a lot of different places. Hopefully, this list will help you on your way to buying the perfect gifts for everyone on your list.

New England Summers Are The BEST Summers

Why you should spend your next summer in New England.

Three years ago, I chose to attend college in Philadelphia, approximately 360 miles away from my small town in New Hampshire. I have learned many valuable lessons away from home, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in Pennsylvania. One thing that my experience has taught me, however, is that it is absolutely impossible to beat a New England summer.

Yes, the math major is doing a math-related post. What are the odds? I'll have to calculate it later. Many people have probably learned about the Fibonacci sequence in their high school math classes. However, I thought I would just refresh everyone's memories and show how math can be beautiful and apply to physical things everywhere around us with stunning examples.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
