Youtube is one of the best ways to procrastinate and avoid the important responsibilities in your life. It literally has anything and everything that you can possibly think of in video form. Screaming goats? Check. Mongolian throat singing? You got it.
But why waste your time on silly things when there are also helpful Youtube channels out there? Specifically, there are people on Youtube that make videos about makeup: how to put it on, what to buy, what not to buy, etc. I, personally, have been on the beauty wagon for some time now and have found these videos super helpful!
For the ladies (and some men!) who are just starting their journey into the makeup world, or are already pros but want some extra tips and suggestions, here are some beauty people that are a must watch!
Jaclyn Hill
With over 2 million subscribers, Jaclyn Hill is probably one of the most popular beauty Youtubers. Her impact has lead her to multiple collaborations with makeup brands, including her most recent one with Becca Cosmetics with her highlighter, Champagne Pop (I own it and it is amazing). Jaclyn Hill posts tutorials, favorite videos, challenges and more! She's also super humble and down to earth, which makes her very enjoyable to watch.
MannyMUA
Manny is continuing to rise to Youtube fame very quickly, and for good reason. His determined attitude mixed in with his sassiness and humor make his videos very entertaining to watch. He continues to break down the stereotype that "makeup is only for women" and his influence is inspiring others to overcome that stereotype as well.
KathleenLights
Kathleen is another beauty Youtuber that posts videos of tutorials and whatnot, but what makes her extremely helpful is that she also dedicates the time to talk about drugstore items that people on a budget can afford. Most beauty Youtubers tend to focus a lot on more higher end products (which Kathleen also does as well), but she has made videos that focus solely on drug store makeup items and what worked best and what didn't.
PatrickStarrr
Patrick is another beauty male that is breaking down the "girls only" makeup wall. I, personally, have found Patrick's tutorials helpful as he is a darker skin tone like me and uses products according to that. Patrick is also a great vlogger, making his viewers feel like they are apart of every major life event going on his life.
NycDragun
NycDragun isn't afraid to play with dramatic looks, from the makeup to the hair. Her story is different from the rest of the list in the sense that she is transgender and is super open about it on her channel. Along with the makeup tutorials that she posts, NycDragun also posts videos that talk about her journey during this ongoing transformation, inviting viewers to take that journey with her.
Besides the people on this list, there are so many beauty Youtubers out there that cater to different tastes. So instead of just mindlessly watching any old Youtube video, watch something worthwhile and helpful!
