Youtube has become my newest pandemic addiction. I never got the Youtube hype until this past May when I realized how much extra time I had on my hands when school became completely virtual. It's too easy to stick to your typical Tana Mongeau and Jeffree Star videos, but I wouldn't say these sort of influencers are the MOST uplifting people you'll ever meet. That's why I've compiled a short list of some of my favorite influencers, some more popular than others, who are authentic, funny, and not afraid to show their audience that their lives aren't perfect!

Kelsey Kreppel

Youtube

I found Kelsey's channel through her famous boyfriend, Kody Co, and I'm so glad I did. Kelsey is like your bigger older sister who talks you through Girl Talk, homemade dinners, and Oscar Fashion Reviews. She's also a pre-school teacher on the side, which is obvious through her warm and youthful personality.

Colleen Ballinger

US Weekly

Colleen Ballinger is a full-time mom and a full-time performer. Her Youtube character "Miranda Sings" has inspired many people, young and old, from around the world. In her vlog channel, viewers can get a behind-the-scenes take on her life. She's transparent about her struggles and loves her fans more than anything. It's obvious in every video.

The Try Guys

Tubefilter

The Try Guys are all best guy friends always up for a challenge or to try the latest foods. Each of them are unique in their own way. One of their latest Twilight reenactments is a must see.

The Traphamily

Youtube

Haley and Ryan are two truly inspiring individuals. At 19 and 20 years old, the two got engaged and are sharing their journey with the whole Internet to see. Choosing to get married at such young ages, has surprisingly received a fair amount of backlash from fans, but the two are committed to showing viewers that it's not for show. The channel takes you along their wedding planning, food tasting, home-buying adventures.

Emma Chamberlain

ABC News

Saving the best for last (bye haters)! I've been watching Emma since I was 16 and I've always been impressed with her brutally honest attitude and desire to be the same on and off the screen. Some say she's overhyped, but I guess that's up for you to see.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
