Personal Photo from my Vegas Trip

No matter what you call it, Vegas is an Unforgettable experience.

Walking the Strip at night

In Vegas there is little to no humidity so walking late at night is a perfect temperature. Along with the perfect weather, the lights and the music you see and hear everywhere keep you constantly looking around at everything. When we were there the first night, there weren't very many people around so it felt like we had the town to ourselves.

The Hotels

The Hotels you'll see in Vegas are one of a kind. I stayed in the Excalibur which was a massive castle, next door was the Luxor which was a huge Pyramid and down the street was Paris which had the Eiffel Tower right outside. One of my favorites was The Venetian. The ceiling inside was painted as if you were walking under a blue sky with a few spotty clouds and if you looked straight up while walking, it had the illusion as if it was moving. Huge kudos to the Interior and Exterior designers of Vegas hotels

The Bellagio Fountain Show

The fountain show was one of the prettiest things I've ever seen. It's a massive body of water in front of the hotel and it uses the whole length of it. The water dances and shoots to the beat of the music so you're always seeing something. Highly recommend seeing this if you ever go!

Everything about Fremont Street

Oh Fremont, if you want to see weird stuff but an amazing light show, go to Fremont. You can see everything from people zip lining above you to "Sexy Nuns" to Chippendales. You can't go to Vegas and not go to Fremont, it's just the icing on the cake!

A man doing his business on the Sidewalk

All I can say was, good thing he carried toilet paper with him.

Regardless of all the pretty and not so pretty things I saw, I cannot wait to go back to Vegas and explore more unforgettable experiences!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
