There are Spotify playlists for every possible mood, whether you're working out at the gym, turning up with your friends at a party or looking for happy songs that get you through a rough day. These playlists, however, go a little beyond that and are rare finds which are unlikely to pop up on your feed. So give them a listen, and be prepared for a musical joyride.

1. Lute Music For Alchemists

With a mere 25,000 followers, this playlist is my top underrated playlist beyond a shadow of a doubt. With songs that are a perfect blend of melodic and melancholic, this playlist will give you some serious food for thought. It is best listened to with a side of existential reverie.

2. POLLEN

This playlist transcends any singular genre, and will become your go-to place for fresh finds if you take pride in having an eclectic taste in music. With only over 44,000 followers and regular updates to the songs, this is one of those rare finds that you find yourself going back to for more.

3. Café Con Leche

Are you the kind that needs music in the background to focus? This is the one playlist that satisfies all my study-vibes-playlist needs. You have to have a taste for the instrumentals and Spanish music as they make up a sizable part of the playlist. Although it has already started to pick up some serious steam, it is still worth a mention here.

4. Au Calme

Thanks to its collection of mellow romantic tones, this playlist will transport you back in time to quiet nights spent with your significant other, or best friends. Supercharged with nostalgic energy, pair this one with your favorite book for a major mood-lift.

Can't make up your mind between jazz and hip-hop? Neither could I, until this playlist came along and turned my life around. A melting pot of jazz, hip-hop and soul, this playlist is bound to take you on a super fun ride and all that jazz...
